Areas of Ministry
As a SOAR intern, you'll focus on one of the following areas at NMC. No matter which ministry you're in, you'll gain experience with:
- Developing and implementing Sunday services and midweek programming.
- Building relationships with NMC staff, students, and adults.
- Handling office and administrative responsibilities.
- Leadership roles at summer camps and other events.
- Coordinating, leading, and communicating with volunteers.

- Build relationships with NMC staff, students, and adults.

Hands-On Experience with Curriculum • Lead Kids in Worship
Adult Ministries
Lead & Teach Adult Groups • Family Life Ministry • Care Ministry
Student Ministries
Focused in Middle or High School Ministry • Discipling Students 1-on-1 and in Small Groups
Worship Ministry
Plan Weekly Worship Services • Lead a Wide Range of Audiences • Work with Professional Audio & Media systems

SOAR equipped me for ministry by providing spiritual mentors and a life-long, authentic friend group that challenges me and keeps me accountable. It reaffirmed my God-given strengths and expanded my understanding of Jesus and His character. SOAR flipped my whole life around, and I discovered how to live with a Kingdom mindset and serve the Lord wholeheartedly.
